Reporting your Occupancy & Visitor Numbers
Help us monitor the tourism economy in Northumberland by reporting your occupany and visitor statistics once a month
As part of our monthly research we require tourism businesses from across Northumberland to submit monthly occupancy and/or visitor figures. This information is vital and helps us to monitor the performance of the tourism economy in Northumberland.
Why help?
By submitting your stats to us it helps us to monitor the tourism economy, see how the county is performing month by month and helps us to create an overall picture of performance each year.
The data we collect helps us to feedback to Northumberland County Council and other key partners on the shape and progression of tourism in Northumberland.
2018 Overview
Tourism makes up 11.8% of Northumberland's economy, 2.7% higher than the national average and contributes £665 million to the economy
How do I take part?
Spare us two minutes of your time, by sending two statistics each month to Lyndsey Pennington.
Full details of what we require can be found in the below document titled 'Reporting your occupancy & visitors stats' - we also offer further supporting information for serviced and self-catering accommodation in the supporting documents below.
What do we do with the data?
The information we collect is stored securely and we never share individual information.
You can use the data to benchmark your own business performance, this can be done on a monthly basis when we publish our Monthly Business Barometer.
