Proud Allies Training – in person workshops starting this week

  • Delivered in partnership with Northern Pride, this training will raise awareness and increase confidence around inclusive language, engaging with LGBTQIA+ communities and people, and increase understanding of the intersectionality of the LGBTQIA+ community with some judgment-free question and answer time.

  • Training sessions are suitable for all employees with the added benefit towards team members working within public facing roles, customer service, marketing, HR, and management teams, or for those who are looking to be better allies and role models for others.

  • We are providing free in person training sessions, in locations across the North East in order to make them as accessible as possible. There are ten sessions available, please select the one session that is most convenient for you. Spaces are limited and each session is open to a maximum of two people per organisation.

Everybody Welcome Training – enhance the accessibility of your business with free webinars

  • The UK aims to be the most accessible tourism destination in Europe by 2025 and the Everybody Welcome Initiative will help to ensure that our region, famous for its warm welcome, plays a key role in making that vision a reality.

  • Everybody Welcome is a new business improvement initiative across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside. This free programme, funded by North of Tyne Combined Authority, will help those taking part to increase their share of the UK’s £15.3 billion ‘accessible tourism’ market by improving experiences for visitors across the region as well as benefitting local communities.

  • As part of the project, we are providing a series of three, free webinars delivered by accessibility experts on 13th, 20th and 27th June.
